Your Questions Answered: A Q&A with Lash Salon STORY

"You might have a few questions before your appointment but feel a little shy about asking..." For all of you in that situation, here are the answers to some of our most frequently asked questions about lashes.

Q1: How long does a session take?

The time may vary slightly depending on the design you choose, but a session generally takes about 1 to 1.5 hours. Our salon is a private space, so most of our clients become so relaxed that they fall asleep. It actually makes the treatment easier for me if your eyes are relaxed, so please feel free to take a nap!

Q2: Is it okay to wear makeup or wash my face on the same day?

We ask that you leave a gap of at least 7 to 8 hours for the lash glue to fully dry. If possible, please avoid showers and activities that cause you to sweat, like going to the gym, for 24 hours.

Also, putting on eye makeup before the glue is completely dry can cause makeup residue and dirt to get stuck at the base of your lashes, which can be difficult to remove. For hygienic reasons, we recommend avoiding eye makeup on the day of your treatment.

Q3: How can I make my lash extensions or lash perm last longer?

Just like you brush your hair every day, it's important to gently comb your lashes with a dedicated lash brush. This helps keep your lashes neat, prevents them from getting messy, and keeps them looking great for longer. If you're not sure how to brush them correctly, I'll be sure to show you after your treatment.

Q4: How often should I get maintenance?

• For lash extensions: If you want to keep your lashes looking beautiful at all times, we recommend getting a refill every 3 weeks.

• For lash perms: The average is about every 6 weeks, but it really depends on your individual lash growth cycle and how quickly your lashes become unaligned. If you're starting to notice that they're getting messy, please feel free to reach out to us for a consultation, and we can suggest the best cycle for you.
